About Me
As you may have read on the home page I have a particular passion for issues of conservation and recycling. This wasn't always the case but as I carried out studies in Environmental Studies and Aboriginal Studies the information that I was learning made a particular impact on me. I couldn't deny the facts presented on three of David Attenborough's 'State of the Planet' videos named 'Is there a Crisis', 'Why is there a Crisis' and 'The Future of Life'. Yet above and beyond all the information learnt I simply don't like waste of any kind particularly the kind that the whole of society promotes for the sake of producing more profit. I don't believe in progress at the expense of the natural world because I understand that all of our lives are dependent on it. I believe the most effective method of sustainable development is for the whole of society to live a simpler lifestyle rather than one of continual unrestrained progress and development.
As a part of my studies I started learning about computers and the first program that I learnt on was Microsoft Word in order to write my assignments. Just before the turn of the century there wasn't much internet activity and I can remember the world wide web taking off just after that millennium bug and been and gone. As I continued to study I started learning more about computers and information technology in general. There was a natural progression into learning about Web Page Design because I was always good at art and design at school and I have done a bit of writing over the years.
